Milk & Honey

The book I read this quarter is "Milk & Honey" by Rupi Kaur. The book is written in poetry as well. Milk & Honey is about the author describing the hurting, the loving, the breaking, and the healing. Every chapter has a different purpose. This isn't another cliche poetry book. The book is supposed to heal wounds by the author telling them in poetry that they aren't alone that things like heartbreak, abuse, and lose happen to others too.

I loved this book when I finished it. It's an amazing book to read when you feel lost and have no word to explain how you feel. I feel as if this book healed some of my wounds, I want this to happen to other people too. So, I recommend this book to everybody. It doesn't take much time to read it too. I rate this book a 5/5. I hope people can love this book as much as I did.

You remind me of you

The book that I read this quarter was "You remind me of you". This book is about a girl that had eating disorders and suffers from depression also. In the book it is just talking about how she struggles with eating disorders and depression and how she is trying to overcome it. It tells about how when she had eating disorders she would put all her food in plastic bags and stash it so nobody would find out that she isn't eating. It also incorporates her high school life and talks about her boyfriend Daniel that tries committing suicide but something happens in he book that it fails and he gets to live. This book is a memoir talking about how the author struggled throughout her high school life and her early adult life.

I would recommend this book to someone that likes kind of sad books. This book is the kind of book you have to bare with because it can get very very sad and at times she seems so vulnerable that you just want to hug the author. This book is written in poetry form so it may be hard to follow along with at times but if you are someone that LOVES books written in poetry form this is definitely the book for you. This book is a great written book and I think I would give this book a 4/5 because it is such a great written book and i think the author is so strong for wanting to write about her struggles in her past and sharing it with all her readers! So if you want to read it I would recommend it!

A head full of regrets

The feeling of regret is honestly one of the worst feelings you can experience in life. I have experienced this a lot in my own life. One of the things I really regret doing is doing something in the past  that affected me in the future. I quit a certain thing and because of this I was not able to join something else later that I really wanted to join. At the time of me quitting I didn't know that it would affect me like it did later in the year. When the event came up that I really wanted to be in and I couldn't be in I was very very upset but then I realized that it was my own fault for being irresponsible and not thinking about if it would affect me later in life. This made me realize that you should think about what you do now because later in life it could really mess you and your opportunities up. This is something I really do regret doing. Whenever I think about this I always want to turn back time and change the decisions I've made. In life I think we all do things that we regret and they make us learn from what we have done and make ourselves better people. It helps us develop better mindsets and make us think before we do certain things. I know that I've made a lot of decisions or have done things I have regret. It's just a part of being a human being!
