Propaganda over everything

This is the poster I chose to talk about for my "propaganda". I chose this poster because it really stuck out to me that it's putting a knife through the holy bible ( which I think indicated the Jews religion in a way ). It was really crazy to see that the Nazi's actually had this poster out for the whole world to see. This poster was meant for anyone and everyone to see and learn the Jews were enemies not friends. This can really change how a person would think back then because if we as people were to see a knife going through something and a caption being ' this is the enemy ' we would REALLY believe it because it looks realistic even if there is no evidence backing it up on the poster. Whenever there is say an A big red X on something or something like a knife that indicates something is "forbidden" or "banned". I feel like this poster was really effective because it would show a person that lived back then that the targeted people ( any other person that wasn't a German or Nazi ) is not a friend it's an enemy. People are not going to want to be a friend of someone that everyone else seees as an enemy. I think overall of course that all the other people that the Nazis tortured and made their lives miserable was totally unfair and I think that they should've not been seen as enemies. All people of course should be treated with equal rights and never ruled by someone that'll make their lives totally not worth living. It is simply just not right for one to do that and if I could do anything to help out in the past I would totally do so. EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL PEOPLE! NOBODY IS AN INADEQUATE HUMAN BEING!

Tyler perry's inspiring story

The person I chose for my blog was Tyler Perry. I think that one of the "silly" reasons why I want to meet him is because I just LOVE his movies. I know it might sound so cliche to want to meet someone just because of that but that's not the only reason. I not only love his movies but I love the way he had struggles in his life but got through it and look at him now. He suffered from physical and sexual abuse throughout his childhood but he still got through that and became the man he is today. If I was to get the chance to hang out with him for a whole day I think I would want him to take me to where he grew up and just have him talk to me about all the things that have inspired him to be in movies and produce his own movies. I know everyone's passion had to start off small and over time it becomes bigger and bigger. I would also want him to tell me about ( if he's comfortable with it ) how he got over all his hardships that he's went through throughout his childhood and adult life. I would ask him how it is to be in the movie industry and what were the things that impacted his life the movies for the better and for the worst. Tyler Perry to me is worth meeting because I really think that even though he had things happen to him in the past that have affected him in some type of way he has had the chance to go down a path of success. I think that is very inspiring and to me he shows perseverance.

Perseverance is the key

To me perseverance means to always stay strong and never give up when things get tough. The time I persevered the most was when I tried out for the varsity volleyball team and did not make it (volleyball is my favorite sport). I was so upset and hurt for a few days and I honestly just felt as if I should give up on the sport for good. I felt that I wasn't good enough to play anymore. It might seem a little over dramatic but it meant a lot to me. I am so glad I did not give up though. I persevered through it and now I'm practicing more and making myself even better and the sport. I realized now that just because I did not make the team this year doesn't mean I won't make it freshman year or sophomore year and so on.

 Character traits:
Integrity
Believe in yourself
Self-respect
Don't give in to peer pressure
Avoid drugs
Be yourself
Self-confidence
Perseverance
Courage
Humility
Teamwork
Good sportsmanship
Academics

In the video we watched nick has self confidence. He had self confidence because he does not seem down when he talks about his situation. He speaks loud and clear and seems happy with himself now.   Even though he may have a hard time he still has a good smile on his face and let's other people know they need to be confident in themselves too. Nick also believes in himself because even though he doesn't have the abilities most people do he perseveres and gets through it. He thinks he IS good enough and thinks he can get through anything. The last main character trait he has is courage. Nick of course has the decision to think less of himself and be ashamed of himself but he doesn't. He has the courage to stand up and let people know the hardships he's been through and to encourage other peoples to love themselves NO MATTER WHAT happens in life. Nick overall is a really great person and I think A LOT of people got inspired by his story.

I think I could relate to nick in some way but my time of perseverance is not nearly as rough as his. I was very upset and watneted to give up but I didn't. As for Nick his situation was something that he needed to use perseverance every single day. I actually think I could say I believe in myself like he does and I try to make myself a better person each day. I believe that even though there are small and big bumps in the road I could get through them no matter what type of situation it is.

Best Advice I Ever Got

In life, everyone needs a wake up call or someone to give them advice to lead themselves to a better place. I know for a fact nobody is perfect and we all need advice at one point in our lives , especially me. I know it may seem like I'm just rambling but let me get to my point. In the past I made a lot of mistakes and I needed A LOT of good advice to help get me through tough situations. I think the best advice that I EVER received from someone was "Don't care about someone that doesn't care for you".  This advice really helped me because I realized that all my "friends" were not even really my friends. I honestly took his advice and it helped me so much because of the fact I stopped caring for people that wouldn't put the same effort into our friendship. I wanted to have friends that would ACTUALLY care for me and go the extra mile for me just like I would do for them. This advice helped me so much and now I'm doing much better. Before I got this advice I felt very vulnerable to the world and I felt like I couldn't count on anyone anymore. I felt like it was so hard to determine the caring and non-caring friends.

SUPER BOWL COMMERCIAL !!

The best commercial I saw during super bowl Sunday was the Audi commercial. In this commercial it is like a race and a mans daughter is racing with all boys and actually wins the race! The main idea of this commercial or the message it was trying to get across was about women equality. He talks about how he is supposed to tell his daughter that no matter how great she is or how intelligent she is it won't be enough compared to a man. This commercial really did stand out to be because that goes on in today's world. A lot of people think that just because we are women that we are less or we aren't as good as a man. Some people think that only a man can do all the heavy work or a man is the most intelligent and a woman isn't. To me this is obviously not the case. I think that both genders are capable of equally doing things right. If a man can do it so can a woman. I really think this commercial was reaching out to everyone in society to show them that it's hard to nnntell a young girl that she isn't enough in society no matter how phenomenal she could be at something. Which personally I think is TOTALLY RIDICULOUS! I really think this commercial was powerful because they incorporated how a young girl won a race with all boys. This commercial was not very hard to comprehend at all in my opinion. If you have not watched this commercial yet you definitely need to! It is really a phenomenal commercial

Here is the commercial if you are interested or have some spare time!! Enjoy

Worst argument ever

The worst argument I've ever had was with my best friend. It was with one of my best friends. The thing that started the argument was really the fact that we were both going through rough times. We've all had the times where we just don't feel ourselves and we feel that we are drifting apart from everyone and that was our time. Over time we started to here that people were starting things between us. They would say I started to talk about her and or she would talk about me. We both were really dumb to believe those people. We both got into a huge argument and stopped talking to each other. In the process of not talking to each other we both were of course bitter but we both had to hang the way we acted towards each other. I had to think about it for a long time and I had to realize all of that stuff we argued about wasn't worth losing our friendship. I decided to talk to her about everything that I thought and she said what she thought and we came to an agreement. We both hugged and made up. At the end of the day the only thing that mattered to me was that we still remained friends no matter our differences and our ups and downs. That's the thing about friendship, you guys may not always agree and may argue but you both have that special bond with each other that could never be broken. I am very glad that my best friend and I made up and now we are stronger than ever.
