What I'm thankful for

This year I am really thankful for the family and friends that I have. My family has been there for me when I need something. It's not always physical things they are there when I need help with homework or some problem I'm facing. My friends do the same for me. They are there for me whenever I need them the most and I'm really thankful for that. Of course they do give me physical things but that's not really what I care about the most. Another thing I'm really thankful for is having a place to live and clothes to wear. Not everyone has a place to live or new clothes to wear all the time. Also , I am REALLY thankful for having a guardian (my mom) that is always there when I need something. If I need something for school or sports she tries her best to get it for me as quick as she possibly could. I'm not always thankful for the physical things she gives me. She helps me with problems I face in life and I am really thankful for that too. Most of all , I am thankful that I have a good life to live and yes I go through some hard times but I have friends and family to get through it!

Election reflection

I think that the election was I guess fair, except the fact that Hillary won the popularity vote and trump just won the electoral vote. I think that Hillary should have won the election because she won the popularity vote but I guess it doesn't work that way. She was the fifth person this has happened to. I just personally do not like Donald trump and I felt that Hillary Clinton should have won the spot as our president elect and soon to be president.  I do not think that Donald trump will be the best fpresident but I mean if he's our president America is just gonn shave to deal with it. We can't necessarily do anything about it because he really isn't doing anything against the law or anything so for now he is in fact our president elect and everyone is going to have to tolerate it.
Personally, I think it would be interesting to be more involved in politics. I love to see like all the arguments or just what's going on in America today. I am not really involved in politics because I never really thought it would be interesting. I think it would be nice to be more involved. I am a actually excited to be voting in the next election because I have never really voted before so it would be my first time. I would love to expiernce what my parents have been doing for so many years. It would be a new thing to me and I can't wait to vote.

All The Broken Pieces

The book I just recently finished is called "All the broken pieces" by Ann E. Burg. This book was about a kid named Matt who was adopted from vietnam and now is living a better life. When he lived in Vietnam there was a war going on and his family really struggled. His mom gave him up because she wanted him to live a better life in America. Throughout the book he always seems to mention or have memories about his family back in Vietnam. He thinks that for every little mess up he makes his family doesn't love or "want" him anymore. In the book he plays on a baseball team and develops an enemy. The "enemy" does not like him because he always says "It's your fault my brother died." Matt always seems to bring himself down whenever he hears this because he thinks that it REALLY is his fault for the brothers passing. The book has series of events that remind Matt about his family but he slowly heals throughout the book.

I can honestly say that I enjoyed this book a whole lot. This book was kind of a "sad" book in a way. The way his story was introduced is the part really liked. They didn't just straight up say "I left my family and moved here cause I was adopted." In this book you had to kind of "know" in a way but it was very touching. It was sad to read when he had the flashbacks about how he left or how he would witness so much horrible things going on in Vietnam. It was sad but touching to hear how he has a good family in america that treats him like that is really their own son! The thing that also really interested me was how the book didn't just focus n his family or what he went through in Vietnam. It had a lot to do with his favorite sport baseball. It didn't focus on the bad things it focused on something else too. Another thing that really caught my attention while reading this book was the way it was formatted. It was written just like how a poem would be written which was in stanzas. It would switch off and go from memories he had of his birth place to him being at home or at practice. I really did enjoy reading this book!
